Global Handwashing Day

Thinking of the future, we strive for continued health, well-being, and productivity for ourselves, our families, and our communities. Handwashing is an affordable, effective way to achieve these goals. For example, handwashing with soap could prevent many of the 272 million yearly schooldays lost to diarrheal disease, and 50% of the infections acquired in healthcare settings.

Whatever you did today, you came in contact with the germs. ‘From the hands to the mouth’ is the most vulnerable way for the germs to enter into the body. On the occasion of Global Hand Washing Day I would like to re-emphasize the importance of cleanliness. Especially for the little kids it’s extremely important to inculcate the habit of washing hands from the very beginning,

  • when the hands are dirty
  • before eating or touching food
  • after using the bathroom
  • after blowing nose or coughing
  • after touching pets or other animals
  • after playing outside
  • before and after visiting a sick relative or friend
  • Any many more…

And don’t limit the guidance to your children but also to the little ones around you; those part of underprivileged society. Your words can save precious lives from falling ill. So guide them about the basics, spread your word…

Today I have started to live a new life. Today I aim to look beyond what's apparent and wish to explore a new world. Today I feel like to dive into an ocean of thoughts. Today I have realized that there was there was never any yesterday for me, its been always today!! My world encircles around my baby, biggy-baby (i.e my hubby) and my thoughts. Whether I'm free or occupied with stuff, I always think, dream about my thoughts, feelings and enjoy when my words gain visibility. I'm not any writer but recently I have fallen in love with writing and since then, this love is gaining momentum with every moment!! You can also read my blogs at :
